the super bowl giants

Well football fans its early July, and its just the end of the first half of the baseball season, but it also means its 31/2 weeks from the start of football camp. As a Giants fan im going to wonder was last seasons great finish for real or that the team just got luck at the right time. I personnaly think that the Giants do have the team to repeat as far as getting into the playoffs are concerned. To win another Super Bowl of course a team needs a little luck. As we all know ijuries play a big part in how well a team will do in any given season, and how well a team can cope with said injuries. The Giants seem to have decent depth at most positions, but one never knows.

One problem that has been hanging around since the draft in April is what to do with Shockey. He claims that since he is not involved in the offense as much as he would like that he wants to be traded. The Giants had a chance at the draft to trade him for a couple of choices in this years draft but decided to pass. Now they just have two options, trade him for a player already on the respective team, or take draft choices in next years draft. The other option, is keeping him and hope his pride as a player will overcome his feelings of being left out of the offense. The wildcard factor is that Shockey is a very talented tightend, but at the same time he is a very out spoken individual, and if he is not happy he could cause problems in the lockerroom. I personally think his talents are worth the risk and the Giants should try to keep him. ----------We shall see.
