THE METS MAKE OR BREAK It is almost the All-Star break and the Mets are still playing around the (.500)mark. I feel it is time that omar Minaya realizes that it was not the fault of the manerger Willie Randolph for the teams problems. When in fact it was how the team was put together this year. As it turns out there are only five players, aside from pitchers, that are useful to the Mets at this point, Reyes, Wright, Beltran, Church and for the most part Endy Chevez. Im not going to list the names mainly because I have done so in previous articles, most of you may not heard of them as yet, but counting the three first round picks in this years draft(all college Players)thers at leat 10 ball players that in some manner or formula, could help the Mets for the remainder of the season. People in the Mets organization will tell you that this cant be done, too much money invested in some of the "older players", they wont admit bad judgement, and you cant rebuild in New York.
Well to that I would ask Mr.Minaya, as a fan would he rather watch new young talent develop, or would he rather watch older players play until they just cant anymore. As far as momey goes the Mets have just spent a lot of money on a brand new stadium, Im sure their fans would like to see a new exciting team one that is fun to come out and watch. Trust me the mets as they stand now are not fun to watch.
So I suggest if anyone reading this article, knows anyone they can write to in order to help the Mets change, please do.
