Writing Tips

You may have seen some of my writing materials and wondered to yourself what am I really saying. Perhaps you may want to know how important it is to effective writing. Nevertheless in the marketing world writing is a major aspect of marketing into a whole dimension itself. As a current online marketer or just browsing around, reading some of the advertisements online, you can see that many marketers write more than just advertising ads of some sort. Writing today is how we invite others to see our point of view or to persuade them as to what you want them to know.

Having heard of some that have a disability when it comes to writing and chooses not to write have a hard time getting their presentation across the net while yet others succeed throughout their marketing methods that require you to write emails or even blog your ideas

Through experience never considered to be a writer found that through writing about your feelings, experiences, and more so promotional ads for your business involves writing. Also writing is a good source of communication without literally speaking. Through writing the more you write the better you become. Effectively writing comes with a daily practice and to have a mentor to examine your writing for common mistakes many may have made will enhance your writing capabilities. Therefore your writing ability will eventually become more natural to you.

How do you become an concise, clear effective writer you should consider the following 5 steps for beginner writers these steps are available for your use as well.

1. Be literal.

To be literal is knowing that through your writing skills in sending ad you must first know that you are not just reaching your culture but cultures everywhere. You must also know that you must limit some words or phrases because in other cultures it could possibly mean something else. Watch out! For example, if you say,” We’ll take a meeting.” Now your readers would like to know what you will do with the meeting once you have taken it. Here’s another I have to punch the clock in the morning; now you audience would like to rescue the clock and would like to know what have the clock done to. By all means avoid the jargon that you may use everyday your audience will be more appreciative of a clear, understandable style of writing.

2. Keep it short and simple.

By keeping your writing short and simple is the best one can do. Using this style of writing you can get the important points out and avoiding word repetitious words like and, I’s. Too much of that eliminates the reader to read on. You do not want to lose your reader so be careful. Try re-reading your article, ads, emails to yourself and if it sounds as good to you then it may be good. Allow someone else to read as well. If there are corrections that need to be made make them. Having access of someone’s critique your writing is not to put you down but help your writing to become more clear to the reader.

3. Know your reader.

Once you have established your writing abilities now it is time to reach the reader.

Know who your targeting audience is if you are writing to address a business then use proper pronouns for instance Mrs. / Mr. Brown. When writing an email begin by thanking them for allowing you to email them. You may want to use a header for example who you are and what company you are representing. Just like I mentioned earlier keeping it short but yet effective, then carry on with the rest of your message as to what you really want them to know. You will get better results this way. If you are addressing a business or representing your business you may want to include "Would your company be interested in learning more about our product?" Not. Would you be interested in learning more about our product? Because, this is what will drive your reader away from what you have to offer. Remember it is not what you say but how you say it and it show more in your writing oppose to actual speaking.
Keep in mind that your targeted reader takes what you say and translate word for word, lets face it humor is a personal thing but avoid the humor in your writing



5. Project the right image.

Through finding the right image for advertising your business or program you need to project the image into reality. Images along with your article writing capture the eyes of the reader. Images basically tell the story without any writing involved; it enhances what you wrote with pictures. I know you have heard the pictures are worth a thousand words.

Through pictures you can view the business as a for sure thing because you can actually see it other than read about it.

Now that you have read the 5 tips to successful writing take this time and start writing, analyze your writing gather feedback from others about your writing, keep your writing simple and to the point lastly project the perfect image for you business or program. After you have completed the steps your writing will be greater than before.
