The Tacoma News-Tribune has an interview with the Tim McGraw fan yanked onto the stage with all the dignity of the classic plumbers crack. Marcus Nirschi, the instant Youtube, star says he wasnt drunk and didnt push people down. Two women near the stage disagree. Heres the full News-Tribune story.
Tossed Tim McGraw fan -"I can drink an 18-pack and still be sober."
Fans were crowded around the White River stage Tuesday night. Unlike many artists, McGraw allows this so he can sign autographs for them during the show. As fans clogged the aisles, Nirschl said he tried to get a better view once McGraw started singing the song. "All of a sudden people started pushing me and shoving me," Nirschl said.
The Federal Way sisters, Tonia Hohagen and Rae Lynn Doughty, remember Nirschl as the aggressor.
He lowered his shoulder and pounded his way through the crowd "like a linebacker," Hohagen told The News Tribune. Her sister recalled casting an annoyed glance at the shoving behind her before turning her attention back to McGraw.
"The next thing I know, my hair is being pulled," Doughty said, "and I was shouting, Ow! Ow! Ow!"
She and another fan pushed the offender down, she said. And when he got up, she said that he had punched her in the thigh.
