4 ways hair bangs can be a pain in the summer

Bangs are a great way to jazz up your look. They work for most people and make you look younger, cooler and trendier. However, bangs aren’t always a blessing. Why you ask? We give you 4 reasons why bangs are a nightmare during the summer seasons.

  1. They get oilier than the rest of your hair

Since your sebaceous glands are located near the hair follicle, they secrete sebum and oily substances near the roots of the hair. These oils stand out more prominently in bangs, more often in the summers. This makes your hair look greasy and  dirty within a day, and before you know it you’ll resort to washing your bangs more frequently than the rest of your hair- not the most convenient thing to do.

  1. The sweat makes it worse

During the summertime, there is more amount of sweat being produced and this is quite a hassle for people with bangs. Your hair sticks together, making your bangs look dirty and out of shape. Worse, your hair sticks to your face- it’s annoying!

  1. Acne

With your sweaty hair constantly sticking to and irritating your face (mainly your forehead), your face begins to develop acne and blemishes. So, with bangs, summer is a pain not only for your hair, but also for your face.

  1. It affects your confidence

Because of your sticky greasy bangs followed by acne, your appearance and thus your confidence may be affected. People say appearance should not affect your confidence but the condition of your bangs in the summer definitely keep your from being the best version of you that you can be.

If you have bangs already then make sure you style them well otherwise hold off on getting them until the temperatures cool down a little.
